About Solace

The Reason

A Place to Actually Recover

Solace began with a simple observation: the people who need recovery the most rarely get it. Athletes, founders, creatives, and anyone living at a high intensity often treat rest as optional. We wanted a space that made recovery feel as considered as training.

We are not a day spa with soft music and product upsells. We are a thermal bathing and bodywork house designed for people who understand contrast therapy, value skilled hands, and prefer silence over stimulation.

The rooms are small on purpose. The membership is limited on purpose. The goal is that when you walk in, the city stays outside.

What We Believe

  • — Heat and cold are tools, not trends
  • — Skilled bodywork is medicine
  • — Silence is a feature
  • — Fewer members means better care
  • — Recovery should feel ordinary, not indulgent

What We Avoid

  • — Loud music and strong scents
  • — Product sales on the way out
  • — Overcrowded shared spaces
  • — Complicated membership tiers
  • — Treating rest like a luxury add-on

Location & Team

We are located at 184 North 8th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn — a quiet stretch two blocks from the L train. The entrance is intentionally unmarked.

Our therapists come from structural integration, sports recovery, and traditional bodywork backgrounds. Every session is unhurried and adapted to the person in the room.
